Biography: Georgiana Elizabeth Emma Crampton was born about 1850 in Dublin, the third daughter of clergyman Josiah Crampton, the rector of Great Sutton. Her father came from Enniskillen and wrote two works on astronomy. As a young woman, Crampton wrote the single novel Silver Sands (1871). In 1883, she married clergyman John Spencer, the vicar of Eastwood, who was nearly forty years her senior. After her husband's death, she did not remarry and died in 1929 in Brighton. Note: identifed through advertisements and her unusual initials.
