Author: Margaret Anastasia Howitt (1839–1930)

Biography: Margaret Anastasia Howitt was born in 1839 in Esher, Surrey, the daughter of authors William Howitt and Mary Howitt. She grew up in an "atmosphere of culture and industry" and lived with her parents in London, later accompanying them to Rome. When her widowed mother convert to Roman Catholicism, Margaret followed. In addition to editing her mother's autobiography, Howitt wrote a travel book on Sweden and a novel Birds of a Feather (1867). She lived a long life, dying on 8 April 1930 in Hayle, Cornwall.
