Author: Nathaniel Colchester Iron (1807–1894)
Biography: Nathaniel Colchester Iron was born on 30 Janaury 1807 in Bury St. Edmunds, the son of Joseph Iron and his wife Elizabeth (née Colchester). He married Marianne Bevan and emigrated to the United States. In Brooklyn, he worked as a journalist and editor and had a successful sideline as a dime novelist. He died on 24 September 1894 in Port Richmond, New York.
