Author: Thomas Hotchkin Vines (1837–1928)

Biography: Thomas Hotchkin Vines was born in 1837 in Lincoln. He attended Corpus Christi, Cambridge where he earned an M.A. As a clergyman, he was the long-time rector of Fiskerton. He found time to write the single work of fiction--locally produced, seemingly no copies survive to our day. In 1862, he married Catherine M. S. Menteath but the couple had no children. Vines died on 12 June 1928 in Fiskerton.
