Author: Margaret Douglas Pinchard (1805–1888)

Biography: Margaret Douglas Pinchard was born on 6 March 1805 in Taunton, the daughter of solicitor John Pinchard. Judging by her census entries, she lived on a comfortable income. In middle age, she wrote several works for young adult readers. She was a long-time resident of Tormoham, Devon. Pinchard never married and died on 17 December 1888 in Tormoham.
