Biography: Elizabeth Charlotte Louisa Egerton was born on 13 June 1836, the eldest daughter of William Craven, the 2nd Earl of Craven. In 1858, she married Arthur Edward Holland Grey Egerton, the third son of the 2nd Earl of Wilton. The couple had no children. She wrote the single juvenile work, Stories for Darlings (1870). In 1875 her husband was made Baron Grey de Radcliffe and in 1882 inherited his father's title. After her husband's death in 1885, Egerton remarried to Arthur Vickris Pryor the following year. She died after a short illness on 8 March 1919 in Melton Mowbray. According to her obituary, she "was a great sportswoman, and one of the cleverest women that ever rode to hounds."
