Author: Maria Wright (1802–1889)

Biography: Maria Wright was born about 1802 in Felthorpe, the fourth daughter of John Wright. Her sister was the author Mary Sewell and her niece was the author Anna Sewell. She never married and lived much of her life in Buxton, Norfolk. Late in life, she wrote several novels. Wright died on 19 April 1889 in Buxton.
