Author: Charlotte Arnold (1799–1887)

Biography: Charlotte Arnold was born about 1799 in Ireland. Her early life cannot be traced. By 1870, she and her sister Harrietta operated a ladies' boarding school in Lismore, Co. Waterford. With her sister, she co-wrote a collection of poems Village Lyrics (1878) and the following year she singly wrote a collection of stories Tales of My Father's Fireside (1879). She never married and died on 16 August 1887 in Lismore.
