Author: Eliza Mary Barron (1817–1883)

Biography: Eliza Mary Barron was born around 1817 in Ireland, the eldest daughter of Pierse George Barron, the Deputy Lieutenant fo Carrickbaraghan. She never married and lived much of her life in Waterford. She wrote two novels, The Ebony Room (1868) and Leaves from an Old Portfolio (1875). She died suddenly in her sister's arms on 25 October 1883 in Waterford after being unwell for some time.
