Biography: Louisa Clarisse Reynolds was born in 1854 in Herne Bay, the daughter of authors George William MacArthur Reynolds and Susannah Frances Reynolds. Following her parents, she turned her hand to fiction, writing a few books. In 1873, she married solicitor Adolphus William George Bell and the couple had five children. She appears to have given up fiction once married. She died on 24 December 1921 in Stroud Green.
