Author: Mary Senior Clark (1839–1913)

Biography: Mary Senior Clark was born in 1839 in Alton, the daughter of clergyman George Clark, the vicar of Cantley later Archdeacon of St. David's. She never married and lived most of her life with her parents in Robeston Wathen, Wales. Besides some poems and songs, she wrote two works of fiction, the story collection The Lost Legends of the Nursery Songs (1870) and the novel Turnaside Cottage (1875). She died on 6 March 1913 in Robeston Wathen.
