Author: Thomas J. Corr (1849–1885)

Biography: Thomas John Corr was born on 21 May 1849 in Creggan, Co., Donegal. He attended Trinity College Dublin (B.A. and M.A.) before being ordained. He served as assistant chaplain in Florence and later curate of Magdalen Church in Belfast. During his life, he wrote fiction, essays, and poetry, including one novel The Dream of Melzar (1878). He died on 3 December 1885 in Crossmaglen.
