Biography: Constance Mary Katherine Phipps was born on 1 June 1843 in London, the daughter of clergyman Augustus Frederick Phipps and his wife Mary Elizabeth Emily Fitzroy. She lived the majority of her life with her parents in Euston, Suffolk where her father was the rector. In the 1880s, she wrote a handful of novels but none of them seems to have made much of a mark. By 1891 she was living in London and by 1911 she was living in Brighton. She never married and died on Christmas Eve 1921 in Brighton.
