Biography: Lillian "Lillie" E. Barr was born in May 1853 in Glasgow, the daughter of author Amelia E. Barr and her husband Robert Barr. The family emigrated to the United States, settling first in Texas before relocating to New York. Following her mother's lead, Barr wrote two novels, including one set in Texas, and contributed poetry and articles to magazines. She married engineer Edward A. Munro and the couple had no children. Barr died in January 1933 in Prescott, Arizona, presumably while traveling.
