Author: Alice Evezard (1844–1930)

Biography: Alice Evezard was born on 25 September 1844 in Marylebone, the daughter of clergyman George Evezard, the incumbant of St. James's Chapel. After her father's death in 1866, Evezard and her sisters operated a school on Blandford Square for the next few decades. From a young age, she wrote poetry and stories for periodicals with her ealiest work appearing in Once a Week. Evezard only wrote the single short novel Revenge is Sweet (1878). Late in life, she moved to Kent and she died on 25 February 1930 in Strood. Note: identification very likely but not certain.
