Biography: Isabella Louisa Posnett was born around 1853 in South Africa, the daughter of William Dixon fo Graaf Reinot. In 1868, she married Irish landowner George Posnett and the couple had at least two sons. Much of her life cannot be traced. During her married life she turned to fiction producing a several novels and newspaper serials. In 1901, she was widow living in Dublin. She died there on 18 March 1918.
