Author: Blanche Emilia Marion Grene (1858–1892)
Biography: Blanche Emilia Marion Grene was born in March 1858 in Powerstown, Ireland, the youngest child of landowner George Grene. After her father's death in 1864, her widowed mother and several of her siblings moved to the London area. There, Grene wrote a novel One Day at a Time (1885) which took the form of a diary. In addition, according to an obituary, she was a Sunday school teacher and "a zealous worker in other institutions connected" with her church. She never married and died from influenza after a brief illness on 30 January 1892 in Finchley.
