Biography: Bitha Lloyd was born on 13 March 1811 in Perranarworthal, Cornwall, the daughter of George Fox. In 1860, she married William Reynolds Lloyd. Beginning before her marriage, Lloyd wrote several books, including one novel The Ladies of Polcarrow (1864). In addition, she was a prolific contributor to the Leisure Hour and Sunday at Home. She died on 9 March 1894 at Castle Dene, Nottingham.
